CLAREMONT, Calif. – During the 2016-17 academic year, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps athletic department won 14 hard-fought regular season championships and five post season tournament championships in the Southern Californian Intercollegiate. Perviously, the most championships won in any year was CMS with 12 (2013-14).

At the annual SCIAC End of Year Banquet, CMS was awarded the Men's, Women's and Combined All-Sports Trophies. This is the seventh-consecutive year that CMS has earned all three All-Sports Trophies. CMS has come home with the women's trophy 22 times, the men's 40 times and the combined trophy 29 times, far out-numbering every other SCIAC program.
