Claremont Classic Multi-Event Competition
This year's Claremont Classic will only have multi-event competitions. This event is traditionally a small, intimate competition with a range of athletes competing under ideal conditions. The competitions will take place on May 10-11. The decathlon will start at 12:15 on Thursday and 2:00 on Friday. The heptathlon will start at 12:00 on Thursday and 3:00 on Friday. ENTRIES: Fax or email entries by noon on Tuesday, May 8 to (909) 621-8336. The entry form is available here: CLASSIC MULTI ENTRY FORM. Up to three athletes can be entered with each form. Entries are $25 per person. Make checks payable to CMS Track. Entries will be posted at http://www.cmsathletics.org/meetresults/track/2012/classic12entries.htm The meet is for collegiate and post-collegiate athletes.
FACILITIES: 9 Lane Martin Polyurethene Track - ¼" cone spikes requested. HJ - PV - LJ - TJ - JT runways are Polyurethene - 3/8" spikes for the High Jump & Javelin. SP - DT - HT - Brushed Concrete.
TIMING: FinishLynx Camera. Results shown on scoreboard and posted on bulletin board by press box.
WEIGH-INS: Implements will be weighed under the stands on the south side of the track from 11:00-11:45 on Thursday and 1:00-1:45 on Friday. Thursday's weigh-in will be for the shots only, but teams may leave their discs and javelins in the weigh-in area overnight.
TRAINER: Training Room and Trainer will be available. Please bring your own training kit.
PARKING: Please park in the parking lot located on the southeast corner of Sixth and Mills (across from Ducey Gym), along Claremont Blvd.(southeast of the track), along Mills Ave. (southwest of the track) or in parking lot south of the stadium.
