Six Players Earn SCIAC Football Honors

The All-SCIAC Football team was announced today and six Stags earned places on the team.  Max Hodge (SR, Oak Park, OL [pictured-left]) was named First Team All-SCIAC Offense and Ashton Clarke (JR, Santa Rosa, LB [pictured-right]) was named First Team All-SCIAC Defense.  D.J. Lillard (SO, Phoenix, AZ, RB) made Second Team All-SCIAC Offense while Dan Picciotto (SO, Tigard, OR, DB) and Bryan Downs (JR, Fullerton, P) made Second Team All-SCIAC Defense.  Co-Winner of the John Zinda Award was the late William Wagner.  The Zinda Award is awarded to the senior player who best exemplifies the high ideals and characteristics demonstrated by John Zinda during his tenure as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Claremont- Mudd-Scripps.  Criteria includes performance, leadership, integrity, sportsmanship, positive attitude and academics.
