Stags Win Season Opener

For the sixth straight year the CMS Stag Football team won its season opener. The team traveled to Portland, OR last weekend to beat the Lewis & Clark Pioneers 22-7.  The offensive dominated the game with over 400 total yards on 78 plays while the defense only allowed 225 on just 46 plays. It was a great team effort. Entering the fourth quarter with a lead the Stag offense took over the game with consecutive scoring drives while burning over up 12 minutes of the clock. Players of the week were – Scott Yingling (JR, QB from Chicago, IL) on offense, Dan Picciotto (SR, LB from Portland, OR) on defense, and Chet Corcos (FR, Kicker from Fair Oaks, CA) for the Special Teams.
