CMS Places Seven On All-SCIAC Football, Water Polo Teams
The All-SCIAC Teams for Football and Men's Water Polo were recently announced and CMS had seven players named to the two teams.

Gonzales Named SCIAC Athlete of the Week
Aaron Gonzales (SR, Carpinteria) was selected the SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the week of October 9-15.

CMS Beats Cal Lu in Double-OT Thriller
Zach Mallove (SO, Bainbridge Island, WA) hit a 42-yard field goal in the second overtime to give CMS a 30-27 win over visting Cal Lutheran. The Stags win ended the Kingsmen's 11-game winning streak and was the team's first overtime win since September, 1987.

Stags Run By Panthers
CMS fought back from a 14-7 haltime deficit to beat the visiting Chapman University Panthers 28-21 on Saturday evening. CMS outrushed Chapman by 130 yards in the game (241-111) and controlled the clock in the second half, keeping the ball five and a half more minutes. CMS improved to 2-2 overall with the victory.

CMS Opens With Big Win Over Kenyon
The CMS football team opened their season with a dominant 34-10 win over visiting Kenyon College on Saturday evening. The Lords scored on their opening drive of the game and then were held to only a field goal over the final 57+ minutes. The Stags scored on three of four drives in the middle of the first half and their first two drives of the second.
