Stags Win In Convincing Fashion

The Stags traveled to Forest Grove, OR for Pacific University's first home game in almost 20 years and, despite the many distractions, kept their focus and improved to 2-0 on the season with a 37-9 win.  CMS continued to build on their strong defense and much improving offense.  The defense was lead by Erik Janicki (SO, Evanston, IL) who had four sacks and earned Defensive player of the week.  Offensively, Peter Kimmey (SO, Seattle, WA) led the offense to over 330 total yards.  Special teams chipped in with three more blocked kicks and Jordan Santo (JR, Carmichael) scored seven points in his first game as kicker.   CMS has the week off before heading into conference play on October 2.  They will host La Verne at 7:00 pm.
