Blees Named To All-American Team
Chris Blees, the 2012 SCIAC Player of the Year, was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-America Third Team which was announced today. He is the fourth Stag basketball player to be named All-American and the first since 1996.
Blees led the Stags this season in scoring (15.5/g), rebounding (7.4/g) and assists (2.8/g). He is the CMS career leader in games played (112) and shares the career lead in wins (82). He is second all-time in free throws made (345), fourth in points scored (1547) and rebounds (732) and fifth in field goals made (581).
Blees was named NABC First Team All-District for the West at the beginning of the week. He was also named D3hoops.com First Team All-West Region.
