CMS has 28 winter sport student-athletes on SCIAC All-Academic Teams
The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) released its 2013-14 winter sports All-Academic Teams and 28 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps student-athletes made their respective sports’ All-Academic Team.

D3hoops and NABC select Gaffaney for respective All-Region and All-District teams
D3hoops.com along with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced their respective All-Region and All-District men’s basketball teams on March 17 and March 18 and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior guard Tyler Gaffaney has been named to both teams.

After winning the 17th SCIAC title in CMS history, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's basketball team placed a pair of players in senior guards Tyler Gaffaney and Remy Pinson on the All-SCIAC team the conference announced on Wednesday, March 5.

Last second basket gives Cal Lutheran upset win over CMS in SCIAC Tourney semis
A runner in the lane with 2.4 seconds left in the game by Coltrane Powdrill gave the No. 4 seed Cal Lutheran men’s basketball team a 54-53 win over host and top-seed Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament semifinals on Friday, Feb. 28 at Ducey Gym.

Hall of Fame in Roberts Pavilion to be named in honor of Ted Ducey
On the evening of the final regular season men’s basketball game of the 57-year history of Ducey Gymnasium, the night began with a pregame celebration of Ducey Gym, and also ended in celebration as the CMS men’s basketball team defeated the University of Redlands to win the regular season Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championship.

Ducey honored, Stags clinch SCIAC championship with win over Redlands
After a ceremony honoring the legacy of Ted Ducey, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team beat Redlands 74-63 to clinch the conference title in the final regular season game played in Ducey Gym. The fact that Ted Ducey’s son, Jim Ducey, is the Redlands’ Head Coach made it a special evening for all. The Stags are now 13-1 in SCIAC and secured the regular season championship despite having two more games on the schedule.

Stags take down Leopards 73-61
CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's basketball team won 73-61 against the University of La Verne, Saturday, Feb. 15 at Ducey Gym. The win comes on a night when the Stags celebrated their seniors Remy Pinson and Eric Van Wart. CMS now carries conference record of 12-1 and 17-5 overall.

A cold shooting night from the field led to the first conference loss of the season for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team, a 64-57 defeat at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday night at Voelkel Gymnasium.

CMS Athletics to honor Ted Ducey and Ducey Family prior to games on Feb. 19 and 20
Before the doors to Ducey Gymnasium close for good, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics plans to honor the late Ted Ducey along with the Ducey Family prior to the final regular season basketball games in the gym on Wednesday, Feb. 19 (men’s basketball) and Thursday, Feb. 20 (women’s basketball).

CMS scores 48 in second half to beat Occidental
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team beat Occidental College 83-60 on Wednesday night to remain undefeated in SCIAC. The Stags are now 10-0 in conference play with only six games remaining in the season. After a close first half, CMS pulled away in the second half making all five three-point attempts and Tyler Gaffaney’s 21 points.

Pinson’s eight three-pointers help CMS to win over Whittier
Behind eight three-pointers by senior guard Remy Pinson and 28 points from senior guard Tyler Gaffaney, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s basketball team cruised to an 87-67 SCIAC win over Whittier on Saturday evening at Ducey Gym. With the win, CMS improved to 14-4 overall and 9-0 in SCIAC which puts them in first place.
