LA VERNE, CA -- Perfect weather and near perfect greens made it a fantastic day for golf as CMS competed in their first SCIAC sponsored event of the season at Sierra La Verne Country Club. The 18-hole 71-par competition featured seven of the eight SCIAC schools in addition to independent Chapman University.

Pomona-Pitzer came in fourth with 317, Occidental scored 320 and Whittier (321), Cal Lutheran (325) and Chapman (341) rounded out the bottom ranks.
