Mens Golf Competes Well In SCIAC #1
LA VERNE, CA -- Perfect weather and near perfect greens made it a fantastic day for golf as CMS competed in their first SCIAC sponsored event of the season at Sierra La Verne Country Club. The 18-hole 71-par competition featured seven of the eight SCIAC schools in addition to independent Chapman University.
Each team is allowed to play six golfers for the team score and the top four golfers from each team are counted in the total team tally. CMS finished third with a score of 305, which was six strokes behind La Verne (299) and two strokes behind Redlands (303). Pomona-Pitzer came in fourth with 317, Occidental scored 320 and Whittier (321), Cal Lutheran (325) and Chapman (341) rounded out the bottom ranks.
