Shigezawa SCIAC Player of the Year, Reddy And Ho On Second Team
PASADENA, Calif. – Claremont-Mudd-Scripps junior men's golfer Bradley Shigezawa has been selected as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Lee Fulmer Player of the Year. Freshman Kethan Reddy and sophomore Ben Ho were each selected to the All-SCIAC second team.
Shigezawa won last weekend's SCIAC Championship and had four first place finishes in 2013, one of which was a tie. Reddy finished in eighth place at the SCIAC Championships for CMS at 4-over par while Ho finished in a tie for 13th at 11-over. Reddy's first round score of 69 at the SCIAC Championships was the third lowest round of the SCIAC Championships, only Shigezawa (68) and Chapman's Lyon Lazare shot lower rounds.
The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference was established in 1915. The league is currently comprised of nine private colleges and universities in Southern California: California Institute of Technology, California Lutheran University, Chapman University, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, University of La Verne, Occidental College, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, University of Redlands, and Whittier College. The conference recognizes outstanding athletic achievements of its student-athletes on a weekly and annual basis.
