Former Stag Golfer Lee Qualifies For Fifth-Career Pro Start On Tour

Former Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's golfer Tain Lee '12, the 2010 NCAA Division III national champion, qualified Monday for his fifth-career professional start on the Tour. He shot a final round 64 to qualify for the Albertsons Boise Open which runs from July 25-28 at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho.

For more information and to follow Lee at the Boise Open, take a look at the Tour page. There you can see the television schedule for the event along with other event information. Some portion of all four rounds of the Boise Open are scheduled to be broadcasted on the Golf Channel.

Earlier this month, he shot a round of 64 on Monday, July 18, to qualify for the Utah Championship which ran from Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, July 14 at the Willow Creek Country Club.

Lee participated in the first two days of the Utah Championship and shot rounds of 77 and 67 on the par-71 course, but fell short of making the cut. His 4-under-par 67 came on Friday in the second round. Lee has made one cut in his previous four-career Tour starts.

The Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA Tour for golfers who have yet to earn their PGA Tour card, or who have done so but then failed to win enough money to stay at that level.
