    On Wednesday night the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags rolled to a comfortable 5-0 victory over the visiting Caltech Beavers. The Stags controlled possession throughout the match and outshot the Beavers 36-6 in the contest.

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's soccer team was shutout against the University of Redlands Bulldogs 3-0 on Saturday night. The Bulldogs outshot the Stags 15-6 in the match and put 10 shots on goal against three for CMS.

  • Panthers Top Stags in Midweek SCIAC Tilt

    On Wednesday afternoon the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s soccer team fell to the Chapman Panthers 2-1. After a first-half goal by Chapman, Justin Gadalla (HMC) found the equalizer in the 82nd minute for CMS. Just two minutes later, Charlie Raymond delivered the game-winner in the 84th minute with a slotted shot to the far post from the left-side. Chapman held a 15-13 advantage in total shots and only a slim, 8-6 edge on shots on target.
  • Late Comeback Falls Short in Sixth Street Match

    The Sixth Street Rivalry rematch finished in favor of the Sagehens on Saturday afternoon, as the Stags took a tough 2-1 loss. Trailing 2-0 for majority of the match, the Stags worked hard to stage a comeback. Isaiah Alba (CMC) managed to bring CMS within one with a goal in the 67th minute, but the Stags' comeback attempt fell short.
  • Golden Chances Elude Stags in Draw with Kingsmen

    The Stags and Kingsmen went the distance on Wednesday evening, after 90 minutes of play the score stood even at 1-1. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps had all sorts of chances in the first overtime period, but were unable to find the back of the cage for the golden goal. Despite dangerous chances from Cal Lutheran in the second overtime, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
  • Stags Outlasted in Sixth Street Rivalry Match

    Another page in the illustrative history between Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer was written on Saturday evening as the Sagehens edged the Stags 1-0 in front of a packed house on Pritzlaff Field. Pomona-Pitzer found the back of the net in the 16th minute from the left-side off the foot of Aidan Ferrer for the lone score of the contest.

    The Occidental Tigers led the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s soccer team 1-0 at the half on Wednesday, before the two sides combined for seven second-half goals. The flurry of activity favored the Tigers and pushed Occidental past CMS 5-3.
  • Golden Goal Pushes Stags Past Beavers in Overtime

    Trailing 1-0 late in the second-half against Caltech, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's soccer team scored a goal in the 75th minute to force overtime and then tallied another goal at the end of the first overtime-period to clinch a 2-1 victory. The Stags controlled the pace of play throughout the afternoon, owning a 22-3 advantage in shots, but it was the Beavers that struck first with a penalty kick goal in the 21st minute.

  • Comeback Falls Just Short, As Bulldogs Top Stags

    Despite a goal in the 84th minute by Daniel Rohde (HMC) on Wednesday, the Stags could not complete the comeback and dropped a 3-2 match against the Redlands Bulldogs. The Stags struck first with a goal in the 26th minute off the foot of Justin Gadalla into the side-netting. CMS would hold the 1-0 lead until the Bulldogs struck within less than four minute left in the half to tie the match at 1-1.
  • Panthers Sneak Past Stags in SCIAC Tilt

    A goal off the volley from Chapman’s Elliott Braund in the 73rd minute proved to be the eventual game-winner on Saturday evening in a 1-0 victory for the Panthers over the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s soccer team. A hard, low cross from Zev Gollis found the foot of Braund at the top of the six for the lone goal of the contest.

  • Macalester Edges Stags In Season Opener

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s soccer team suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Macalester on Friday evening. The Stags fell into an early 1-0 in the opening 10 minutes of the season, but found an equalizer late in the first half off the head of Justin Gadalla (HMC). Matthew Swift (CMC) collected an assist on the goal that Gadalla headed past the keeper from 10 yards out.
  • Men's soccer opens the 2017 campaign next week

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's soccer team is one week away from kicking off the 2017 season against Macalester College on the road next Friday. The Stags open the new year with a two-match road trip to Minnesota with games against Macalester College on Sept. 1 (5:30 p.m. PDT) and No. 3 St. Thomas on Sunday (10:00 a.m. PDT) before returning home to start SCIAC play.

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s soccer team earned a spot in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Postseason Tournament with a 1-0 win over Whittier College on Saturday night. The Stags needed to win to overtake Pomona-Pitzer in the conference standings for the fourth seed. This will be the first time CMS will compete in the SCIAC Tournament since 2013, when the current seniors were freshmen.

    The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s soccer team earned the 1-0 victory over Cal Lutheran in a must-win game on Monday night. The Stags’ only goal was scored by freshman Patrick Burke (CMC) for his sixth of the season while the CMS defense also recorded its six shutout.
