CMS Swimming & Diving Tops Caltech

The CMS Stags and Athenas opened SCIAC competition with a pair of easy wins versus Caltech on Friday, December 3 at Axelrood Pool.  The Athenas won 182 to 42 and the Stags topped CIT 184 to 37.

CMS won all 24 events on the day.  Carmen Lundell and Andrew Fevery each won their respective 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.  Michele Kee was a double individual winner for the Athena swimmers, taking first in both the 100 and 200 yard freestyle events.  Chris Pei won two individual events for the Stags, earning the gold in the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke.  Junior Brant Kersten won the men's 100 free and posted the meet's fastest time in the 200 free.

The meet served as the opening session of back to back conference dual meets.  CMS faces Pomona-Pitzer at P-P on Saturday, December 4.
