Lance Au CMC '91 Inducted Into CMS Hall of Fame

Lance Au, CMC Class of '91, was inducted into the CMS Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 10, 2007 with four other CMS athletes. Au, from Honolulu, Hawaii, lead the Stags to four top-ten national finishes and three SCIAC titles, and reached the finals of the NCAA singles tournament  in 1991 and won the NCAA doubles tournament with fellow CMS Hall-of-Famer Frank Hinman (CMC '88) in 1988.

Au, who was introduced by teammate Scott Stokdyk (HMC '91) at the ceremony, was one of five Stags tennis players to earn All-American honors for four consecutive years. He is one of two Stags all-time to earn four consecutive All-American singles honors, and earned All-American doubles honors for three of his four years. Au is still the all-time Stags tennis leader in career singles wins with 104, and #2 in career doubles wins with 92. His career singles wins record will likely never be broken. In 1988 he had 30 singles wins and 29 doubles wins (with Hinman), both Stags records. Au was also a four year 1st Team All-SCIAC player and was SCIAC Player of the Year in 1990.
