CMS Stags Tennis' incoming class of freshmen student-athletes is one of two Division III programs listed in the Top 25 Mid-Major Men's Recruiting Classes, according to a June 10 release by TennisRecruiting.net.
CMS' 2013 recruiting class - featuring Glenn Hull (Davis, CA), Max Macey (Weston, CT), Daniel Morkovine (San Carlos, CA), Rohan Shankar (San Jose, CA), Alex Brenner (San Francisco, CA), Jonathan Cho (Hong Kong), and Brian Koh (Singapore) - is ranked #24 among all programs outside of the ACC, B1G, Big 12, Ivy League, PAC-12, and SEC.
This is the second time since TR.net began it's recruiting class rankings in 2006 that the Stags have had a class ranked in the top 25 of Mid-Major programs. In 2006, CMS' incoming class consisting of Mike Starr, Michael Lim, Eric and Spencer MacColl ranked #4. In 2011, CMS' incoming class of Warren Wood, Nikolas Marino, and Cameron Bernhardt ranked #7 among Mid-Major programs. The 2010 class of Zhenya Pereverzin, Neel Kotrappa, Frank Liu, and Josh Ho received strong consideration for being just outside the top 25.
On Monday, June 17 the Top Division III Men's Recruiting Classes will be released. CMS and Amherst (#21) are the only two Division III programs listed in the Mid-Major rankings.
