Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges junior driver Huston Middlesworth has been named Co-Player of the Week by the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) for the week of October 10-16.
Last weekend, went 3-1 at home in the Claremont Convergence. CMS defeated Fresno Pacific (13-6), George Washington (10-5) and Johns Hopkins (15-11), who was receiving votes in the latest national poll. Their only setback was to No. 16 Cal Baptist (9-8). In the middle of the action was junior Huston Middlesworth, who scored nine goals in four games, including four goals in the win over Johns Hopkins. He also had five assists and eight steals. He has been named Co-WWPA Player of the Week for Oct. 12 for his efforts.
The Stags are 8-9 overall, with a 1-0 record in SCIAC Conference play. Middlesworth and CMS look to return to action this Wednesday, October 19 at 7:00pm, as they take on the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens.
