|High School:||Monte Vista|
College: Scripps College
Greatest Area of Academic Interest: Queer theory
Favorite Class in College thus far: So far I would have to say Psychology of Law through T.V. and Film, but this semester my new favorite class may have to be Queer Theory and the Bible.
Why She Chose CMS Softball: Not only would I be playing for one of the most competitive programs in Division III Softball, but I would be able to study anything from Neuroscience to women/gender studies at Scripps. The community of the five colleges ended up being the perfect home for me, and to be able to represent my school by playing softball is an opportunity I would never pass up.
Club Softball Teams: My favorite and most competitive teams were the Pleasant Hill Panthers and the North Bay Renegades, both in the Bay Area.
Favorite Books: Catcher in the Rye, Lord of the Flies, and anything by Shakespeare.
Favorite Movies: Young Frankenstein, Some Like it Hot, A League of their Own, Across the Universe.
Favorite Quotes: "...and that visibility which makes us most vulnerable is that which also is the source of our greatest strength." Audre Lorde
"I am a glorious specimen of humanity"-Becca Gularte
"The inner machinations of my mind are an enigma." -Patrick Star
Three People She Admires: Ellen Degeneres, Lady Gaga and, of course, Becca King.
One Dream She Cherishes: To live in San Francisco and work at a coffee shop until I am accepted into grad school.
