Harmony Palmer (SO, Oceanside) was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District softball team which was released today. She is on the First Team in the College Division of District VIII which automatically qualifies her for the Academic All-American ballot [voting begins next week]. She is one of four infielders on the First Team.
Palmer is an Economics/Accounting major at Claremont McKenna College. A 2010 First Team All-American, she leads her team in runs, doubles, triples, RBI and slugging percentage.
Nominees must have better than a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must be at least a sophomore. The award is voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and is presented by Capital One.
