Athena Softball Excels In The Classroom

Though CMS Softball has garnered attention recently for success on the field, the athletically talented student-athletes excel in the classroom as well.

Ten of eighteen student-athletes on the 2010-2011 team were named NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) Scholar-Athletes.  The award goes to student-athletes who earn a 3.5 GPA or better for the academic year.

Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College and Scripps College, the three constituent colleges of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Softball are highly ranked and highly regarded academic institutions, demanding rigorous, diligent study and performance to accomplish the marks these young women have achieved.

Their areas of study range from biology, chemistry and neuroscience on pre-med, pre-dental and pre-vet tracks; to politics, economics, accounting, government and psychology.
