Ranked number 23, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps proudly stands as the only team in the Top 25 academically that also finished the year in the Top 25 athletically, in the NFCA softball rankings: https://nfca.org/index.php/component/nfca/?top25=1&list=1&year=2012&pdiv=div3
Given the high academic rankings of the three constituent colleges: Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College and Scripps College; these academic and athletic awards represent significant accomplishments and in combination, they offer an outstanding example of the student-athlete experience at its finest.
Conference champions in 2010 and 2011, CMS won the conference tournament championship in 2012. The Athenas have been NCAA tournament qualifiers four-years-in-a-row. All this while student-athletes in the program have graduated with single and dual degrees in a variety of disciplines and moved on to UCLA's dental surgery program, UCSF's PhD program in Physical Therapy, Vanderbilt University's graduate program in Special Education and much more.
In other words, CMS Softball demonstrates year in and year out that they can have it all, handle it all and succeed across the board.
