Palmer Selected First Team Academic All-American
The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its 2013 Academic All-American softball team Thursday and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior Harmony Palmer has been selected to the first team.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their All-American teams on Thursday evening and CMS standout Harmony Palmer was named to the First Team for the second time in her illustrious career.

Season Ends At Regionals With Loss To Redlands
For the second time in three games at the 2013 NCAA Division III Softball Championships, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team struggled to get its offense going as they lost 2-0 to Redlands on Saturday afternoon at UT-Tyler Ballpark.

Down Four, Athenas Top Southwestern To Stay Alive At Regionals In Elimination Game
After dropping its first game of the 2013 NCAA Division III Softball Championships 3-0 to East Texas Baptist, CMS earned a 7-5 come-from-behind win over Southwestern (Tex.) in an elimination game of the Texas-Tyler Regional on Friday night. Next up for CMS is the loser of the East Texas Baptist vs. Redlands game in another elimination game that is set for 4 p.m. CST on Saturday.

Athenas Earn No. 2 Seed In Texas-Tyler Regional, Face ETBU First
The NCAA Division III Softball Committee announced the 62-team field Monday for the Division III Softball Championship which takes place May 9-13 and the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team earned a No. 2 seed in the Texas-Tyler Regional and face fifth-seeded East Texas Baptist University (34-10) in the opening round Friday, May 10.

Palmer Selected To CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team
The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced its 2013 Academic All-District VIII softball team Tuesday and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior infielder Harmony Palmer has been selected to the first team. Palmer is the only player from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) to be selected to the Academic All-District team.

The excitement of the 2013 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament began on Friday, with four competitive games. The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team posted an undefeated showing with wins over Chapman University (3-0) and the University of La Verne (3-0) to earn a spot in Saturday's tournament final.

Savard Rookie Of The Year, Seven Athenas Named All-SCIAC
On a day when the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Softball Tournament got underway, the SCIAC announced its 2013 All-Conference team and seven Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball players were selected. The Athenas completed the regular season with a 29-11 overall record and in second place in SCIAC play at 21-7.

Athenas Shut Out Oxy Twice, 4-0 For The Weekend
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team played host to the Occidental College Tigers Saturday, April 13, on Athena Field. The Athenas swept the doubleheader and the season series from the Tigers winning game one, 1-0 and game two, 8-0 in five innings. CMS is now 26-10 overall and a SCIAC record of 18-6.

Comeback Win Gives CMS Sweep Over Pomona-Pitzer Away From Home
A 7-4 come-from-behind win in the second game of its doubleheader gave the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team a doubleheader sweep at Pomona-Pitzer on Friday afternoon. With the pair of wins, CMS is now 24-10 overall and 16-6 in SCIAC play.

Both teams had come-from-behind 5-4 victories as the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team walked away with a doubleheader split against cross-street rival Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday, March 2 at Athena Field. CMS won the first game of the doubleheader and is now 6-5 overall, 4-2 in SCIAC.

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team took to Athena Field on Saturday Feb. 9 with a doubleheader against the NAIA preseason No. 1 Cal State San Marcos Cougars. The Athenas won game one of the twin bill 6-0 and came up short in game two, 3-1. After today’s split, CMS is now 2-3 overall.

Concordia Takes Two From Athenas
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team lost its doubleheader to NAIA foe Concordia University Irvine Saturday at Athena Field. The Athenas lost the first game 5-0 and then dropped the second game 6-3 to Concordia, who came in ranked fifth overall in the NAIA preseason poll. After today, CMS is now 1-2 overall.

2013 Softball Season Preview
The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps softball team gets its 2013 campaign started on Friday, Feb. 1 at home vs. Azusa Pacific University. The Athenas are coming off a 30-15 season in 2012 including a fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the NCAA Regionals to Texas-Tyler.
