Blees and Toney Earn Post Season Honors

Chris Blees (SO, Carmichael) was named the David Wells SCIAC Player of the Year for 2009 and Jason Toney (JR, Yorba Linda) was named First Team All-SCIAC.  Blees was also the only SCIAC player selected to the D3Hoops.com All-West Region Team.  He was named Second Team All-West Region.

Blees is believed to be the first sophomore to win the SCIAC Player of the Year award which began in 1982.  He led the Stags in scoring (12.4/g) and rebounding (7.3/g) as CMS won the regular season and SCIAC Tournament titles.  Among all SCIAC players, he finished 10th in scoring, third in rebounding, 12th in field goal percentage (46.0), 14th in free throw percentage (67.3) and seventh in steals (1.54/g).

Toney led the Stags in assists (2.86/g) and steals (1.86/g) and was second on the team in scoring (10.8/g).  Among all SCIAC players, he finished 15th in scoring, eighth in field goal percentage (47.8), third in assists and fourth in steals.
