Athenas Improve To 4-0 In SCIAC

The CMS Athena swim and dive team moved to 4-0 in SCIAC after a pair of early January victories.  The Athenas topped the University of La Verne 170-53 on January 16 in La Verne and beat Whittier 191-51 on January 9 in Claremont.

Junior Annie Perizzolo posted a CMS Axelrood pool record in the 100 yard breaststroke vs Whittier, clocking in a 1:05.99, also an NCAA B-cut.  The previous pool record had been held since November 2000 by UC-San Diego's Lindasy Meeks.  Sophomore Emma Jones provided another highlight, earning a spot on CMS's All Time Top 10 list with a 10:53.54 in the 1000 yard freestyle.  Olivia Graham, Elsa Cheng and Jenni Rinker were triple winners for the Athenas and Carmen Lundell won both diving events

At La Verne, sophomore Elica Sharifina was a triple winner for the Athenas.
