Athenas Remain Undefeated In SCIAC

The Athena swimming and diving team topped Occidental College 169-68 in SCIAC dual meet action Saturday, January 23 at CMS's Axelrood pool.

Sophomore Emma Jones [pictured] was the star of the meet, winning three events in convincing fashion.  Jones won the 200 yard freestyle in an NCAA B-cut time of 1:55.29.  She later became the sixth fastest performer in CMS history in the 500 freestyle in a 5:11.15.  To end the day, Jones teamed with Jenni Rinker, Amy Tresenrider and Katie Bilotti to win the 400 yard freestyle relay.

CMS will be back in action this Saturday, January 30 in a dual meet at California Lutheran University.  Diving starts at 10:00 a.m. and swimming will begin at 11:00.
