Athenas Win Tenth Straight Title

CMS finished first at the 2012 SCIAC Swimming & Diving Championships at South Gate and won their 10th straight and 14th overall title. CMS scored 1075.5 points followed by Redlands (567), Pomona-Pitzer (519.5), Occidental (368), Cal Lutheran (333), Whittier (297), Caltech (157) and La Verne (161).  The Athenas finished with three individual wins and won all five relays.  Michele Kee, winner of three individual events and the anchor on four winning relays, was named SCIAC Swimmer of the Year for the second year in a row.

Winners on the final day included Kee in the 200 Butterfly and the 400 Free Relay of Emma Jones, Helen Liu, Ellie Smith and Kee.


Second place finishers for CMS included Whitney Dawson in the 1650 Freestyle, Ali Fisher in the 200 Backstroke and Ching Tung in the 200 Breaststroke.

NCAA 'B' qualifying marks were achieved by Kee in the 200 Fly and by the 400 Free Relay.
