Accolades keep rolling in for Athenas after 25-win season

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2013 NCAA Division III All-America teams and junior libero Megan Coleman has been chosen as an honorable mention All-American. In addition, Coleman and freshman outside hitter Nicole Kerkhof were both selected to the All-Tournament team of the Atlanta Regional for their efforts in the team's two matches during NCAA Division III postseason play.

In the NCAA Division III Championships, CMS played two matches winning its first 3-0 over Thomas More before being eliminated by Colorado College 3-1. In the two matches, Coleman had a combined 51 digs while Kerkhof had two double-doubles with a total of 35 kills and 34 digs.

Both Coleman and Kerkhof were named to the All-Conference team this season while Coleman also earned All-Region honors in addition to her honorable mention All-America status. Coleman this season finished second in the conference in digs (626) and digs per set (5.85). Her 5.85 digs per set ranked 12th in the NCAA Division III.
