Stags Finish 29th At NCAA Championships

The men's cross country team finished 29th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday.  Rafer Dannenhauer not only led the Stags, just as he has each race this season, but was also the first finisher among all West Region competitors.  He finished 45th overall with a personal best time of 24:56.1.

Bryan Chow finished 152nd in 25:37.2, Andrew Wordell was 233rd in 26:08.6, Bennett Naden was 236th in 26:11.3, Russell Page was 246th in 26:21.9, Brian Sutter was 248th in 26:23.7 and Alex Mauro was 258th in 26:36.0.  The Stags were aggressive from the start of the race and were 13th as a team at the first mile, but were not able to hold their position.  The five scorers had team point totals of 35, 115, 181, 184 and 192 for a total of 707.

This was the fourth straight appearance as a team at the NCAA Championships for the Stags.  They were one of 11 teams in the field with one or fewer seniors competing in the race.
