Laura Wyatt is from San Diego, CA, specifically from La Jolla where she attended the Bishop's School.  She is a senior at Scripps College which she and her family chose because the academics are personalized and challenging, everyone seems sincerely friendly, the campus is beautiful and it is not too far from home.  Her parents are Frank (nickname Pancho) and Marilynn Wyatt.  Laura has been in cross country for five years, track for six and competitive soccer for 10.  Her best 1600 time is 5:11 with other bests of 59 (400), 2:21 (800), 17:12 (2.75 mi) and 19:25 (5K).  She was cross country and track captain her senior year and won the CIF Sportsmanship award in 2008 and The Bishop's School Scholar-Athlete award at commencement.

She runs because she enjoys the core group of friends and family away from home, she hates walking and likes how she feels at the end of a hard workout.  Her goals for the season are to find a way to contribute to the team, make friends, get lots of rest and get better.  She loves the ocean and has some trouble being so far away from the Pacific here in Claremont.

Athletic Awards Earned: The Bishop's School Scholar-Athlete Award 2009
