Lisa Beem is like a lungfish. She thrives in water and on land. An accomplished swimmer and runner at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Washington, Lisa decided to continue pursuing cross-country as an Athena. The decision was a good one. Now a junior at Scripps, Lisa has cut her personal records down by minutes. Lisa’s favorite run is Glendora at sunrise, preferably alongside Adele Eslinger (CMC ’14) while singing Disney songs. For Lisa, the best thing about CMS cross-country is the fresh-baked granola, bread, cookies, and crepes from the team’s master chefs.
