Dear CMS Athletics Supporters,

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athletics thrives because of the sound vision of our founders, the hard work of the coaching staff and talented student-athletes, and the support of our institutions and alumni. Through athletics we strive to enhance the liberal arts missions of our Colleges by providing students a highly competitive athletic program, an outstanding undergraduate education, and the promise of great teammates, classmates, and friends during their CMS years. As a community, we are proud of the efforts and outcomes achieved, and hope these reflect well on our institutions and alumni.

In recent years, the costs of team travel, assistant coaching salaries, and other program offerings expected of elite NCAA Division III athletic programs have grown significantly. The support of our alumni and friends is crucial to the success of the program moving forward.

Beyond financial giving, we are also looking to tap into the ‘time, talent and treasure’ that each of our alumni and supporters has to offer. From mentoring a young athlete to hosting a team dinner at your home, there are many ways that you can lend a hand to the CMS Athletics program.

Areas for contribution and support:

  • Mentoring/Networking: Help current student-athletes explore and prepare for their post-graduate lives.
  • Student-Athlete Recruitment: Assist our coaches in their outreach by talking to families of prospective student-athletes, and help us to get future athletes to look closely at CMC/CMS Athletics.
  • Event Planning/Hosting: As our teams travel around the country, we would like to organize events for alumni, families, and prospective student-athletes. We are looking for alumni to help maximize these event possibilities.
  • Financial: Make a gift to CMS Athletics

To learn more about any of these initiatives, please feel free to give me a call at (909) 607-3562, or shoot me an email at mike.sutton@cms.claremont.edu.

Our CMS community thanks you for considering giving back. Your support, financial or otherwise, will help us meet our goals and enhance the experiences of our current and future Stags and Athenas.

Sincerely,
