SKILLMAN, N.J. - Late last week, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their Division III Men's Tennis All-America Teams. The Stags were represented with a pair of individuals and two doubles teams. Nikolai Parodi (CMC) highlighted the honors, earning All-America honors as an individual and making up half of both CMS doubles teams named. The Stags top doubles pair of Parodi and Julian Gordy (CMC) earned the national honors as well as the team of Parodi and Jake Berber (CMC). After finishing as National Runner-Up in the individual competition, Jack Katzman (CMC) capped off his freshman campaign with an All-American nod.
Parodi claims his second-straight All-America honor after a stellar sophomore season. Playing in the top singles spot, he finished with a 21-3 record in the Stags' dual matches this season. Parodi advanced to the National Semifinals of the individual tournament, before falling to the eventual National Championship in three sets.
In doubles play, Parodi teamed up with Julian Gordy for the entirety of the spring and the duo turned in a record of 20-7 in dual matches. Last season both Parodi and Gordy earned All-America honors in doubles play, but with different partners. This year they played together and earned the fourth seed in the National Doubles Championship.
In the fall, Parodi and Jake Berber claimed the ITA West Regional Doubles Title with a 6-2, 5-7, 7-5 victory over to claim All-America honors. The duo went on to play in the ITA Oracle Cup in Rome, Ga., finishing in eighth place.
Jack Katzman finished as the National Runner-Up in the Individual Championship to wrap-up a successful first year in Claremont. Throughout the spring, Katzman put together an 18-4 singles record in dual matches out of the No. 2 spot.
The Stags finished the 2018 season in the National Quarterfinals with a final ranking of No. 6 in the country.
